International Overdose Awareness Day 2026 is being observed at the Institute of Mental Health, Erragadda, Hyderabad, in collaboration with Ahamsutra Social Lab.
The programme brings together IMH mental-health professionals, Psychiatry PG and Nursing students, and community-health contributors for meaningful dialogue on overdose awareness, stigma, dependence, compassionate care and pathways to mental-health support.
Through facilitated expert conversations, student reflections and a community-health perspective, the programme seeks to encourage informed, non-stigmatising responses and strengthen awareness of support, prevention and community action.
